Pathways to Potential: A New Pathway into Employment for NEET and Disabled Young People

Last week, we launched our latest social impact campaign: Pathways to Potential, in recognition of Social Mobility Day.

This initiative tackles the barriers to employment faced by young people who are too often overlooked - particularly those who are disabled or NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).

With over 987,000 18–24-year-olds currently NEET in the UK, and a disproportionate number living with a disability, the time to act is now.

At Vantage Point Global, we’ve always believed in backing potential

When we partnered with Movement to Work earlier this year, we saw firsthand the scale of youth unemployment. It also made us think: that many of these young people will face additional barriers because they were disabled. That realisation sparked this campaign.

In collaboration with EdenChase Associates - specialists in inclusive talent strategy and disability inclusion - we’ve built a fully supported, end-to-end pathway that:

  • Prepares young people with pre-employment training and confidence building
  • Provides accessible recruitment, mentoring, and tailored development
  • Supports both the individual and the employer, from first interview to long-term success

This isn’t just about hiring differently - it’s about rethinking what potential looks like.

Between us, we bring decades of experience

Pathways to Potential isn’t a one-off initiative. It’s a blueprint, one that any mission-aligned organisation can adopt to drive real change.

If you’re ready to unlock new talent, make a social impact, and build a more inclusive workforce, we’d love to hear from you.
