Strengthening our impact, expanding our reach: 2025 in review

A blog by our CEO, Tim Bethel:

A year of growth and measurable impact.

As we look back on the year, one thing is clear: it’s been a year of growth, learning, and meaningful progress, often at pace, and occasionally against the odds!

Our team grew in experience and leadership. Anthony Horner joined our head office team as Change and Transformation Delivery Lead to strengthen delivery management, governance and oversight, and support regulatory compliance across large technology programmes. We also welcomed Thil Sathyamoorthy, a former Vantage Point client, as Sustainability and ESG Practice Advisor. Thil brings more than 20 years of experience in business and IT transformation to help us build thoughtful, scalable ESG talent solutions for our clients in financial services and beyond.

Our ability to respond quickly to client requirements improved as we sourced specialist skills across the UK, expanding our footprint into Glasgow and Leicester, and doubling our presence in Belfast. Refining our talent identification methodology allowed us to deploy consultants in as little as six working days from the moment a request was made, a pace that reflects both the quality of our talent network and a genuine commitment to service.

We broadened our Talent On-Demand capability across the UK and welcomed senior consultants and subject matter experts who strengthened our solutions in emerging technologies, regulatory change, and complex transformation.

In January, we became FSQS registered, providing our financial services clients with clear assurance of our operational, regulatory, and risk management controls. We also joined the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register to streamline how we supply talent solutions to clients in defence, aerospace, security and space.

Sustainability remained a priority for us throughout the year, using technology and AI in smarter ways. We reduced our emissions by 42.54% compared to the previous year and offset our essential business travel through our partnership with Just One Tree. The trees we planted this year will absorb approximately 47.45 tonnes of carbon as they grow. These aren’t just numbers in a spreadsheet; they reflect many small, deliberate choices made consistently across the year.

Doing the right thing in a punishing job market.

Our mission to widen access to opportunity remained central to our work. Our career site received 75.9k visits this year, and our LinkedIn community grew by more than 20%, giving greater visibility to the roles we create and the pathways we support.

Our community partnerships continued to shape how we connect with the talent that many employers overlook, with almost a hundred candidates applying through the charities and pre-employment organisations we work with. Through our collaboration with Movement to Work, we supported NEET individuals – those Not in Employment, Education or Training - into sustainable employment at a time when the job market presents real challenges. We ourselves welcomed 22 NEET individuals as consultants and look forward to seeing that partnership grow in 2026. We’re proud of that number and even more excited about the people behind it.

Our partnership with EdenChase Associates led to the creation of Pathways to Potential, a new programme launched on Social Mobility Day that supports young NEET talent who are disabled or neurodivergent. Together we delivered two webinars that examined the barriers disabled individuals face when entering work and explored practical steps we as employers and educators can take to reduce them. These sessions were supported by Women in Banking and Finance, a valued partner of our organisation, which comprises 46% women.

The skill and innovative approach of our full-time faculty has always been a source of great pride to us, and this year we were awarded Highly Commended at the British Training Awards. By bridging the gap between potential and opportunity, our Elevate Programme empowers trainees with industry-specific knowledge and the confidence to excel in demanding environments, and it really works! We trained one of our largest cohorts this autumn - a cohort of 15 - all of whom reported a noticeable increase in job readiness after completing Simulate, our pre-deployment programme.  One piece of feedback stood out to me in particular:

‘I love the emphasis put on discovering your existing strengths and leading with those instead of fixating on your weaknesses and trying to 'fix' them. The trainers created the perfect environment for me to feel safe stepping out of my comfort zone. And I love that I won't be walking onto client site on Monday alone and not knowing anyone.’

Those who made it possible.

As I look back on the year, I feel deep gratitude for the people who shaped it. Our nimble head office team, who consistently go above and beyond, carried us forward with steady focus and willingness to take on challenges big and small. I’m thankful to our consultants, who bring skill and character to every engagement, and who make Vantage Point Global what it is. I am equally grateful to the community partners who walked beside us, whose insight and collaboration strengthened the opportunities we could create for our people.

Finally, to our clients, longstanding and new, who place their trust in us as partners in their most important work - thank you for your commitment, your belief in our mission and the care you bring to every interaction. You have made 2025 a year of progress and purpose, and I look ahead to 2026 with real optimism and a great deal of pride in what we’ve built together.
